Stay at Home Garden

I would like to introduce myself. My name is Dana and I am an avid stay at home DIY gardener. My husband Jeffrey is the one that supplies the strong back in most situations. I love the happiness and satisfaction that comes from doing your own gardening and landscaping. When you come in from the outdoors with the ground-in dirt on your hands, under your fingernails, and your back aching,  you have the contentment of knowing that your hard work will eventually blossom into something beautiful and lasting. I am a firm believer that patience, knowledge, hard work, and a little elbow grease can and will be rewarded when it comes to the home projects you decide to do.

In the past I had enrolled and completed a Master Gardening program offered through an extension office of a college here in Virginia. Although it provided me with some valuable information with the business aspects of the industry, I have found that you can learn much more by seeking information from the web and periodicals such as The Old Farmer's Almanac and publications like Southern Living magazine.

I believe that in any endeavor knowledge is power. There are a myriad of companies, individuals, and organizations that can provide a wealth of information on gardening and landscaping. We seek to provide a link to those who have this knowledge and expertise in their particular field.

There are time honored principles and cutting edge technologies at work in the gardening world today. Keeping up with both is what we will attempt to do for you. We hope that you will join with us in this rewarding journey we have embarked upon. We sincerely hope as well that you will share with your friends and family our little corner of the gardening world.
